The Accelerator option is available only with the ActiveX version of the Easy Upload Tool. If you have a Mac, or choose to run a non IE browser, we're sorry that you cannot access this feature. To find out more about the Easy Upload Tool for Java click here.
 
Essentially the Accelerator is a re-sizing tool, which reduces the size of your images before they are uploaded, which makes uploading images to FrogPrints much much quicker and easier.
 
The accelerator uses a compression algorithm (a method of reducing the image size) to effectively reduce the number of pixels in the image hence reducing the effective size of the image. Essentially it would be like capturing an image at 2MP when in fact you had actually captured it on your 5MP camera.
 
For dial-up modem users this will make a significant difference. Broad band users will also notice faster upload times.
 
For customers wishing to print larger photos (enlargements of 6x8 inches and above), please note that the Accelerator will reduce the quality of your photos. It is possible for customers to use the Accelerator to upload photos for printing at standard sizes, and then switch to the Standard Easy Upload Method to upload photos for other products
